About this mother of pearl necklace pendant:

It's a natural, organic-inorganic composite material made of calcium carbonate and conchiolin, a protein that gives it a pearly sheen. Beautiful silky white in color. Wire woven asymmetrically in silver plated copper wire. The beads going down the side feature a gorgeous gold shimmer over purple to complement the silver and white.
