FAQ
Frequently asked questions:
How long will my pendant last in the tarnish resistant wire?
- The tarnish resistant wire used in some of Bailey's pendants is coated with a tarnish resistant coating. In Bailey's 9 plus years of wire wrapping, she has seen accurate results in the longevity of the tarnish resistant materials. Your wire wrap jewelry will last many, many years. No less than 7 years based on Bailey's personal experience. As long as your jewelry is cared for and stored in a safe place.
What is Oxidized Metal?
- The oxidizing of metals is what happens when the material is bare and not coated with anything.(Bare Copper, Sterling Silver, Bronze). Some of Bailey's pieces are oxidized on purpose to give her jewelry a nice unique antiqued look. Which in that case since it's already tarnished, there is no worry of it tarnishing. The oxidization is not forever. It's just sped up. Bailey gives her jewelry a polishing session before shipping and on occasion to keep things fresh. She includes a polishing cloth with jewelry that is vulnerable to tarnishing. The polishing on the tarnished jewelry gives it that detailed and unique antiqued look a nice freshening up.
What is the processing time for custom orders?
- A request for a simple wire wrap can take 2 weeks tops.
- 3 weeks at the latest for something with more intricate wire wrapping.
Are the stones used in your pieces natural?
- Yes, most all of the stones in Bailey's jewelry are natural and sourced from vendors that she has built strong friendships with and trusts.
- If something is not natural Bailey will disclose it in the product listing.
