Monto Huichol Obsidian is mined out of Mexico. This material is easily confused with rainbow obsidian. Though this material has a beautiful silky sheen to it. I very much enjoyed creating this piece. The frame is hand woven using tarnish resistant copper wire, which really makes this obsidian pop. The weave has a heart shape design around the base wires. This stone has such beautiful flash at all angles. It would make a perfect gift for someone special in your life.
