This polished malachite, also has azurite. The green around the rim of this stone is malachite, and on the back. All of the blue areas are Azurite. This mineral is formed in copper mine deposits, and the copper is what creates the greens, and blue color combinations. I wire wrapped this stone in oxidized copper wire. I love the antiqued look this process creates. I then polish to bring out all of the weaving details.
